Building on our commitment to promote research, our annual conference will have a concurrent dual track. Track 1 will have our traditional panel of noted speakers to teach participants how to develop or refine their clinical skills with the various disorders where biofeedback has demon- strated clinical efficacy. Track 2 will offer a forum for those exploring the more ex- perimental and innovative applications of our field. These workshops will appeal to participants interested in “cutting edge” applications including “consciousness hacking”, deep state exploration, inter- personal synchrony training, and using portable devices to optimize a variety of performance parameters. As research continues to drive the final nail in the coffin of the mind-body du- alistic approach to health care, we learn that it is prudent to consider more holistic therapies that emphasize preventive care and address the biopsychosocial problems in our patients. To help us integrate this new understanding of health and disease, we have extended invitations to allied health professionals to join us. They, like us, appreciate and understand the value of measuring and modifying physiology. As we learn from one another, we will be better at serving the needs of our patients and hopefully help to devise ways to meet the continuing health care crisis in this country.
