Grant Rudolph, MFT Neurofeedback Results Match Meditation Signposts Level: Introductory Sunday, Nov. 6th , 1 hour Advanced meditation mind-states cataloged in early Buddhist sut- tas closely parallel the subjective results of LENS neurofeedback. De- tailed descriptions will teach clinicians to recognize the hindrances to meditation and the 7 factors of awakening. Data on physiological correlates will be presented. Clinical outcomes are better when practitioners know the map of how the brain unfolds, and best when clinicians can hold jhana states for mirror neuron transfer. Biography: Grant Rudolph LMFT is a seasoned thought leader at the confluence of positive psychotherapy, direct neurofeedback and effective meditation. As founding clinical director of Echo Rock Neurotherapy, he has witnessed many profound heal- ing moments of depth psychotherapy since 1986. A family member’s head concussion awakened interest in LENS neurofeedback, which successfully treated anxiety and de- fensive, trauma-based thought patterns in all his therapy clients. Many clients easily entered advanced meditation states. A founding member of Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Grant teaches the 6R’s practice for rapid progress through Jhana states to awak- ening, as described in the early Buddhist suttas.
