Jeffrey Martin, Ph.D. Persistent Non-Symbolic Experience: From Traditional Methods to Transformative Technology Level: Introductory Saturday, Nov. 5th , 1 hour This presentation will recap our research into Persistent Non-Symbolic Experience (PNSE) and examine the role that neuro and biofeedback might play in its wider adop- tion. We’ll begin a short introduction to the last 10 years of research, progress through the Finders Course experiments that allowed for the collection of A/B data, and look at current experiments underway both in the public sphere and lab to collect physiolog- ical data that might be used to assist people in making a more rapid, safe, and reliable transition to PNSE. Finally, we’ll look at where this technology might be in a few years based on converging trends. Biography: Dr. Jeffery A. Martin is a founder of the Transformative Technology space, and a researcher of personal transformation and the states of greatest human well-being. He spent the last decade conducting the largest international study on per- sistent non-symbolic experience (PNSE), which includes the types of consciousness commonly known as: enlightenment, nonduality, and so forth. Recently, he has been using this research to make systems available to help people obtain profound psycho- logical benefits in a rapid, secular, reliable, and safe way. Jeffery has authored, co-authored, or co-edited over 20 books and numerous other publications. His work has regularly been featured at leading academic conferences and public forums such as Deepak Chopra’s Sages and Scientists, Science and Nonduality, and TEDx. He has been covered in media as diverse as the South China Morning Post and PBS’s Closer to Truth, and been an invited speaker at many universities including: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, University of London, and the National University of Singa- pore. Jeffery is the Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Non-Symbolic Consciousness, a Research Professor and Director of the Transformative Technology Lab at Sofia University, and serves on many advisory boards.
