Dr. Linden presented his work on QEEG and Neurofeedback with concussions at the 2012 Summer Olympics and at the Sport Neuropsychology Society meeting in Minnesota in 2013 to representatives of the NFL, NHL and US soccer leagues (link to ALC webpage). He is an editor and author of the book: Applications of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback in Sport Psychology. Dr. Linden is currently involved in a multi-site study of Neurofeedback with retired NFL players with Dementia Tiffany Thompson, Ph.D. The Intersection Of EEG/Neurotherapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Level: Introductory Satuday, Nov. 5, 1 hour. This workshop will identify the intersection between EEG (brainwaves) and psychodynamic psychotherapeutic principles. Neurological development from the perspective of neuroanatomy, connectonomics (the field con- cerning the development of neuronal networks), and electroencephalography will be linked to psychodynamic concepts of the unconscious, the ego, synchronicity, and the tension of the opposites. In addition, Jung and Freud’s respective models of the psyche will be viewed as a corollary to quantifiable EEG states. Relevant research will include that of other scientists and clinicians who are pioneering to bridge the gap between clinical humanistic psychology and scientific experimental psychology.
