He is past president of The Biofeedback Society of California and specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders Keynote Speaker Evian Gordon, Ph.D., M.D. Effectively Communicating the Role of Neuroscience As a physician, author and scientist, our keynote speaker, Evian Gordon, has an international reputation for developing the field of Integrative Neuroscience. He is co-editor of the journal “Integrative Neuroscience and Personalized Medicine,” and the author of over 300 scientific papers. He received his medical and PhD degrees from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and is an Adjunct Professor in the Depart- ment of Psychiatry at the University of Sydney. Dr. Gordon founded the Brain Dy- namics Center at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia, the largest hospital in the Southern Hemisphere. Dr. Gordon is also a wise and prudent businessman. He is the founder and CEO of Brain Resource, Ltd., a publically traded company on the Australian Stock Exchange. His company integrates high level brain research from over 350 scientists from leading institutions in 28 countries. This research focuses on optimal ways to achieve peak performance and treating addiction, depression and ADHD. Dr. Gordon has also es- tablished Brain Revolution.org, a not-for-profit organization to empower underserved children to explore and train their brains. Dr. Gordon lives in San Francisco. His keynote, titled Effectively Communicating the Role of Neuroscience, will un- doubtedly teach us what we need to do to integrate our field into the broader health care establishment.
